First of all, we need to define what is a ghost. We need to first clearly understand what we are referring to here, because a ghost may mean different things to different people.

Alright, so, a "ghost", I will defined as the soul or spirit, of a man.

And hence, from the definition, ghosts exists, because every man has a soul.

despite technical definitions, i think the o/p refers to the disembodied spook. a spirit hanging around the world once it's body has perished.

This is something that intrigues me. I wish I understood these matters better, or maybe should I say at all. I think when talking about ghosts you are defining in your way, a spiritual movement. It's exsistence and perception goes beyound my understanding. We are talking about something totally spiritual that occasionally makes a physical manifestation and trying to define it accurately with words. What relation do ghosts have to angels and demons? Are they the same with different agendas.

I THINK IN THE NEW TESTAMENT IT SAYS CHRIST MET WITH MOSES AND ANOTHER ON THE MOUNTAIN AFTER THEY HAD BEEN DEAD ALONG TIME. THE DESCIPLES SEEN IT. IT ALSO SAYS CHRIST GAVE UP THE GHOST WHEN HE DIED ON THE CROSS. THIS IS THE SPIRIT. THE BIBLICAL SPOKEN SPIRIT. I DONT THINK THEIR ARE CHAIN RATTLING GHOSTS.

WE HAVE TO RELEASE THE SPIRIT FROM OUR HUMAN BODY BEFOR WE CAN ENTER INTO HEAVEN

I think ghosts exist.Ghosts are nothing but the spirit, we all have a spirit within us and it will free our body when we die.According to the some old saying after our death spirit take a new birth in the form of new born baby, i don't no how true is this.But i believe that ghost exist.

I do agree with you they are just the spirit who die before their death actually comes. They become ghost due to their early death and some of their wish remained incomplete so they are unsatisfied and become ghost to fulfill their wishes.

You need to read Joe Beam's Seeing the Unseen. He talks about spirits, ghosts, demons with the Bible as the reference point.

Don't the scriptures say " men are appointed once to die and then the judgement"?, Did Lazerous or the rich man have trouble passing to their judgement? Does the Holy Scriptures anywhere indicate a soul may linger so as to be seen or "felt" in some way after death? Interesting topic. Tim
