bake sales

I had alway heard that Churches of Christ don't have bake sales and such. I would appreciate a scriptural reason why we cannot. Thanks.

I see it has been awhile and nobody has offered any scripture. That's because there is none. That I know of, anyway. I'm not real sure why a church would want to have a bake sale in the first place, since we are not in business to raise funds necessarily, but to reach out to a lost and dying world. But if a church decides that part of raising money for those efforts includes such endeavors, then who am I to judge?
